All Volunteer/Non-Profit; This Judo Club is a non-profit organization. Everyone involved is a volunteer worker. No one gets paid to coach Judo or help with Judo in any way shape form or fashion. The $50.00 dollars a student pays each year is for his or her membership in "USA Judo" and "Texas Judo, Inc."  You must be a member of these organizations to coach Judo, practice Judo, or compete in Judo tournaments. The $10.00 dollars a student pays is for a 1 year membership of the Odessa Boy's & Girl's Club.

For this Judo Team to survive we have to work together like a family, the students and parents alike. We raise money for our "Judo Fund" by operating a concession stand every year at the varsity elementary football games. We always try to host 1 Judo tournament each year.

This "Judo Fund" is used to pay expenses of operating a non-profit Judo Club. For example we spent $12,000 dollars on mats we practice on. They do not come cheap so we need to take very good care of them. When the Judo Team travels to out of town tournaments we have to drive a long way for each tournament, so to make it easier for our students and their parents to travel to the tournaments for competition, the "Judo Fund" pays for one night in a motel for each family.

With this being a non-profit organization,  Any donation a student or parent gives above his or her Judo fees is a tax deductible donation. Anyone or any business can make donations to  "OBC Judo Inc." as a tax deductible donation.

OBC Judo Inc.  as a Club, is a member of  Texas Judo Inc. which is the State Governing Body for Judo within Texas.

OBC Judo Inc.  as a Club, is a member of United States Judo Inc. dba; USA Judo. which is the National Governing Body  for Judo within the United States of America. As such it is the ONLY Judo organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee. Member clubs earn the right to a USA Judo membership certificate which also proudly displays the Olympic rings and the marks of the US Olympic Committee, thereby giving your club this exclusivity within the Judo world.
